Regulated online blackjack has gone live in Pennsylvania after lawmakers approved of the activity in 2017.
The long wait has finally come to an end, as the Hollywood Casino and Parx Casino have launched online gambling, allowing punters to play slots and table games. There will be more competition coming, as 13 casinos have applied for licenses, and are looking to offer similar games of chance to punters.
If you want to play, you must be 21 or older and supply identity proving your age. You must also physically be located within the state of Pennsylvania at the time of play, and those outside of the borders will not be permitted to play.
The state has also legalized sportsbetting, and that activity will be coming online as well. Pennsylvania has been trying to catch up with neighboring New Jersey, who’ve been offering legal online betting and sportsbetting services to players. Those endeavors have proven to be lucrative, as casinos have hauled in millions of dollars in revenues annually.
